Evac+Chair® can be utilized in a variety of evacuation situations. From corporate offices covering multiple floors with high populations, to passenger airlines with particularly narrow stairs.
While evacuation chairs are most commonly found in workplaces, public buildings and healthcare environments, there are homes where mobility limitations, multi-storey layouts or narrow staircases make safe stair descent difficult without assistance.
The important consideration is not just having the chair, but ensuring that:

Stairs are clear and accessible
The chair model is appropriate for your stair gradient and landing space
Most Evac+Chair® models are designed for single-operator controlled descent, meaning the chair takes the weight and regulates speed. However, if the home has tight stair turns or steep staircases, a powered or two-person assisted model may be more practical.
